Goalkeeper Alexander Doni 'to make Liverpool comeback' after extended absence

Doni 'to return to Liverpool'

Liverpool goalkeeper Alexander Doni will reportedly make his way back to Merseyside following an extended absence.

The 33-year-old was granted leave by the club to go back to his homeland Brazil due to personal problems in July.

It is believed that the shot-stopper is due to return to Anfield in order to provide cover for Pepe Reina and Brad Jones, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Australian Jones has been standing in for regular keeper Reina, who has been struggling with a hamstring injury.
