Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp "really satisfied" with Bournemouth win

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp expresses his satisfaction at claiming a first win in charge of the side, as the Reds defeat Bournemouth 1-0 in the League Cup.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has expressed his satisfaction at claiming a first win in charge of the Premier League side this evening.

Nathaniel Clyne's first goal for the club was enough to secure a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth in the League Cup, and Klopp believes that his side deserved to win the game.

"I'm really satisfied tonight, because this team never played together," Klopp told Sky Sports News. "The young players, new players, players who didn't play for a long time because of injuries and everything, they did really well.

"You could see we had many chances against an opponent who played I think nearly with their first team at this moment. We were dominant, we played football, and had our moments. Everything is okay."

Brazilian midfielder Roberto Firmino made his first start under the German manager in the match, and Klopp was full of praise for the former Hoffenheim man.

"He is physically strong, that's very important, and technical things - he's a good finisher, he's a good player," Klopp added.

Liverpool's victory saw the Merseyside outfit progress to the quarter-finals of the League Cup.
