Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Liverpool injury, suspension list vs. Wolves

Fresh from a dominant Merseyside derby victory, Liverpool prepare to travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers for Saturday's Premier League battle.

The Reds prevailed 4-1 at Goodison Park on Wednesday evening, with Mohamed Salah netting twice while Jordan Henderson and Diogo Jota also made the net ripple.

Jurgen Klopp's men have kept pace with Manchester City and Chelsea following that triumph, currently sitting third with a two-point gap separating them from the table-topping Blues.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Naby Keita

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: December 11 (vs. Aston Villa)

Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that Naby Keita will be able to return to training next week as he battles back from a hamstring problem, but he will not be ready this weekend.

Harvey Elliott

Status: Out Type of injury: Ankle Possible return date: Unknown

Harvey Elliott continues to make great strides in his recovery from a serious ankle injury but will still be out for a few more months at least.

Roberto Firmino

Status: Out Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: December 16 (vs. Newcastle United)

Klopp affirmed earlier this week that Roberto Firmino was still "a couple of weeks away" from returning from a hamstring problem, so he will miss out again here.

Curtis Jones

Status: Out Type of injury: Eye Possible return date: Unknown

Curtis Jones is "completely fine" after his freak eye injury, according to Klopp, but the nature of the issue means that he will not be available for Saturday's game.

Joe Gomez

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: December 11 (vs. Aston Villa)

Joe Gomez is in the same boat as Keita, with Klopp expecting the defender to return to training next week, but this game will come too soon for him.

LIVERPOOL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for this match.
