Liverpool injury, suspension list and return dates for Newcastle United clash: Jeremie Frimpong latest, right-back crisis

Frimpong fret: Liverpool's injury, suspension list vs. Newcastle

Liverpool's second game of the Premier League season will come against Newcastle United on Monday at St James' Park.

Boss Arne Slot will be hoping that his side can make it two wins from two following his team's 4-2 victory against Bournemouth on August 15.

While the Reds will be able to welcome defensive midfielder Ryan Gravenberch back into their starting XI after he served his suspension, they could be facing somewhat of a crisis at right-back.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their showdown with Newcastle United at St James' Park.

Jeremie Frimpong

Status: Out

Type of injury: Hamstring

Possible return date: September 14 (vs. Burnley)

Jeremie Frimpong was substituted shortly before the hour mark against Bournemouth, and the right-back is set to miss out on action due to a hamstring injury until after the September international break.

Conor Bradley

Status: Minor doubt

Type of injury: Match fitness

Possible return date: August 25 (vs. Newcastle)

Conor Bradley returned to team training on Thursday, but the Northern Irishman was not able to take part in a full session, and the right-back faces a race against time to be fit for Monday.

Joe Gomez

Status: Minor doubt

Type of injury: Match fitness

Possible return date: August 25 (vs. Newcastle)

Joe Gomez missed much of the Reds' pre-season due to an Achilles issue, and though he was brought on from the bench against Bournemouth, the defender was not able to train for three consecutive days in week after the club's win against the Cherries.

LIVERPOOL SUSPENSION LIST

Liverpool have no players suspended for their Premier League clash against Newcastle United.
