How Liverpool could line up against Tottenham Hotspur

How Liverpool could line up against Spurs

Liverpool will be looking to banish the memories of last season's trip to Wembley when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at the national stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

The Reds were initially scheduled to be the first visitors to Tottenham's new stadium, but delays in the construction mean that they will again face off at Wembley - the scene of a chastening 4-1 defeat in the corresponding fixture last term.

Alongside the prospect of revenge is the opportunity to extend their best-ever start to a Premier League season, having gone into the international break top of the table courtesy of four wins from four so far.

Jurgen Klopp made just one change to his starting lineup in those opening four games, and here Sports Mole looks at how his side could line up at Wembley this weekend.

Out: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee), Dejan Lovren (pelvic) Doubtful: Adam Lallana (groin), Simon Mignolet (hand)

Consistency in team selection has been the order of the day for Liverpool so far, and Klopp is again unlikely to make major alterations to his side for this match.

Jordan Henderson replacing Naby Keita is the only change to a starting lineup so far, and the Liverpool skipper is expected to keep his place against Spurs - although Keita could return for the impressive Georginio Wijnaldum.

With Lovren now expected to be sidelined for more than a month longer than initially hoped, there are no plans to tinker with a defence which has conceded just one goal so far - marshalled by Virgil van Dijk.

That solitary goal was the fault of Alisson Becker, but the Brazilian remains the undisputed number one and will retain the gloves despite his mistake in the win over Leicester City.

The front three also picks itself when everyone is fully fit, with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Premier League joint top-scorer Sadio Mane leading the line.
