Jurgen Klopp to equal Bob Paisley record in FA Cup final

Klopp to equal Bob Paisley record in FA Cup final

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will equal a club record when he takes charge of his side in the FA Cup final against Chelsea on Saturday.

The only previous boss to have taken charge of the finals of four major competitions was club legend Bob Paisley, who did so between 1974 and 1983.

Paisley oversaw the Reds in finals of the League Cup, FA Cup, UEFA Cup and European Cup; winning six league titles, one UEFA Cup, three League Cups, three European cups and one UEFA Super Cup during his nine years at the helm.

Having overseen Liverpool in the finals of the EFL Cup, Europa League and Champions League already, current boss Klopp will equal Paisley's record when his side take on Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Liverpool remain on course for the quadruple under the German this season, having already beaten Chelsea in the EFL Cup final back in February, whilst remaining in the race for the Premier League title and having a Champions League final against Real Madrid to look forward to on May 28.

During his seven years in charge at Anfield so far, Klopp has won one Premier League title, one EFL Cup, one Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
