Feherbahce 'close on Simon Kjaer deal'

Fenerbahce are reportedly in advanced discussions with Lille OSC over the sale of defender Simon Kjaer.

The Danish international had been linked with Manchester United, but was also believed to be on Liverpool's radar.

However, Hurriyet claims that the Turkish giants have moved into pole position for Kjaer and the player was expected to arrive in Istanbul on Sunday to resume negotiations.

It is thought that Lille hard holding out for €10m (£7.2m) for the 26-year-old, who has had previous spells with Wolfsburg, Palermo and Roma.

Lille finished eighth in Ligue 1 last season.
