Walsall and Leyton Orient play out draw

Walsall and Leyton Orient play out draw

Anthony Forde wasted a massive chance for Leyton Orient as they played out a goalless draw with Walsall this afternoon.

Orient saw a lot of ball during a slow start in which neither team could find much by way of penetration.

Forde whipped in a corner and Tom Bradshaw got up well to get on the end of it, but the striker could not get enough power on the header and it was cleared.

A neat passage of play from Walsall before the break then ended with Forde putting the ball just over the crossbar.

After the restart, Forde wasted a great chance to put Walsall in front after backheeling the ball wide from five yards.

The game opened up as the half went on, with Orient going close on a number of occasions through Jobi McAnuff and Lloyd James.

Neither side could find the breakthrough, however, in a 0-0 League One stalemate.
