Leyton Orient fail in legal bid to challenge Olympic Stadium tenancy

Leyton Orient fail in their legal bid to challenge the tenancy of the Olympic Stadium, which will become the home of West Ham United in 2016.

Leyton Orient have failed in their legal bid at the High Court to challenge the tenancy of the Olympic Stadium.

The League One outfit accused the London Legacy Development Corporation of not fully considering their bid to share the ground with the Hammers following the decision to give the Premier League outfit sole tenancy.

Lawyers representing Orient appeared in court today requesting that Mr Justice Lewis grant them permission to pursue a judicial review of the corporation's decision.

Orient chairman Barry Hearn decided to push with the legal call following West Ham's capture of the ground, but the judge has today refused to allow the club to continue with their review.

The judge also listened to arguments from lawyers representing the corporation and West Ham.
