Odubajo vows to repay Slade

Leyton Orient midfielder Moses Odubajo has thanked O's boss Russell Slade for handing him the chance to impress this season.

The 20-year-old had been widely expected to depart Brisbane Road in the summer, but eventually penned a new two-year deal with the club following talks with Slade.

"The manager said I needed to be playing first-team football at my age and that he didn't think I'd get that elsewhere and that I wouldn't want to be playing in the reserves because I'm better than that," Odubajo told PA.

"It was a great feeling knowing that he trusted me that much in my first season in League One, so I owe it to him."

Odubajo will now remain with Orient until at least the summer of 2015.
