Leicester target Japan international Shinji Okazaki

Mainz 05 striker Shinji Okazaki has confirmed that Leicester City are interested in signing him.

The Japan international has been the subject of an £8m bid from the Foxes which has been rejected by the Bundesliga outfit.

However, the 28-year-old has insisted that he will not be considering his club future while on international duty at the Asian Cup.

"For the time being that's finished for me. I will stop thinking about it. I'm a Mainz player and for now I want to focus on the Asian Cup," Okazaki told BBC Sport.

Okazaki has scored eight times in 16 appearances for Mainz this season.
