Leicester City chase young Sampdoria defender Pedro Pereira?

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has reportedly made Sampdoria's Pedro Pereira one of his main January transfer targets.

The right-back does not turn 18 until next month, but his development is believed to have been monitored by a host of clubs over recent months.

According to Secolo, Leicester are keen to steal a march on any other potential suitors by submitting a £7.3m bid for the youngster's services.

The report adds that the deal may see Leicester's Swiss international midfielder Gokhan Inler move in the opposite direction.
