Right-back Danny Simpson on way out of Leicester City?

Danny Simpson could reportedly be on his way out of Leicester City before the transfer window closes after falling out of favour under Claude Puel.

Leicester City right-back Danny Simpson is reportedly not part of Claude Puel's plans and will be offered the chance to leave before the transfer window closes.

The 31-year-old was made to turn out for the club's Under-23s on Wednesday evening at the same time that the first team were playing out a 1-1 draw with Valencia.

Simpson, a part of Leicester's title-winning side three seasons ago, has been dogged by injury during the off-season and restricted to just one senior outing.

Sky Sports News claims that the Manchester United academy product will not be included in Puel's 25-man Premier League squad this season, and City are therefore willing to listen to any offers.

Andy King, who also featured for the Under-23s in midweek, is another who faces an uncertain future at the King Power Stadium.
