Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy has stated that it was "brilliant" to be away on England duty.
The 28-year-old earned his second cap and first international start in the 6-0 win over San Marino in Euro 2016 qualifying on Saturday.
Although he did not feature in Tuesday night's win over Switzerland at Wembley, Vardy has said that his time with the national side has been a great experience.
"It has been brilliant and it was great to be picked again," he told the Leicester Mercury.
"Obviously, the group are close but every single one of them has made me feel welcome from day one.
"If something goes off as a team then some will go golfing and some go to the cinema. It is up to you what you do. But as a group they are brilliant. There are no bad eggs."
Vardy could feature in Leicester's Premier League fixture against Aston Villa this Sunday.
