Mike Dean branded as 'arrogant' by Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson

Referee Mike Dean receives heavy criticism from Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson following the Foxes' 4-3 defeat to Tottenham in the Premier League.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has labelled referee Mike Dean as "arrogant" after his side's 4-3 loss to Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.

Leicester came from two down to level the scores before Dean awarded a penalty for David Nugent's foul on Danny Rose which allowed Harry Kane to complete his hat-trick.

Pearson told Sky Sports News: "Unfortunately again, another dubious decision. The arrogance of the man at times is frightening. I just find it difficult to accept that we have to deal with yet another contentious decision that has not gone our way.

"I am sure Spurs will be feeling, even though they scored four goals, quite relieved in their dressing room.

"Now it is nine games and it remains a very frustrating season for us because of the level of performance, yet we're just not getting over the line with results."

Leicester remain bottom of the Premier League table, seven points adrift of safety.
