Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson frustrated with Burnley draw

Pearson frustrated with draw

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has admitted that he felt disappointed after his side were held to a 2-2 draw by struggling Burnley at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

The Foxes looked set to pick up their third Premier League win of the season until Ross Wallace's 96th-minute free kick rescued a point for the visitors.

"It's two points dropped for us really because we've been the side that has tried to be attack minded throughout," Pendle Today quotes Pearson as saying.

"I could be critical if I wanted of our own players in terms of not maximising our own attacking situations enough, but ultimately we've been pegged back right at the death and it's not given us a chance to respond.

"It felt like a Championship game. There was not a great deal of fluidity to it. It was a scrappy game. They didn't come here to play any fluid football. They came here to be difficult to beat and they were."

Leicester are 12th in the table after the result, while Burnley sit in 19th place.
