Nigel Pearson is reappointed the manager of Leicester City, 17 months after he walked away from the job.

Nigel Pearson has been appointed the new manager of Leicester City, just 17 months after he left the club to take over Hull City.

Hull and Leicester have been in discussions for the last 11 days, with the move thought to have been delayed because of a dispute over the compensation package for Pearson and his backroom staff.

However, both parties have now reached an agreement which is reportedly in the region of £750,000.

During his previous two-year stint in charge at the King Power Stadium, Pearson guided the Foxes to the League One title and the Championships playoffs a year later.

An internal dispute followed during the summer of 2010 which resulted in Pearson moving to Hull.

His second spell in charge of the club, which was made possible by the sacking of Sven-Goran Eriksson, will begin with a match against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
