Confusion as Leicester City fail to unveil new away kit

Leicester's plans to unveil new away kit fail

Leicester City's intended unveiling of their new away kit this afternoon did not go quite as planned.

The Foxes were due to play the second half of their pre-season friendly against Monaco in the new grey strip, but weren't allowed because of a colour clash with the Monaco goalkeeper's jersey.

However, Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel in the opposite goal was allowed to don his new light-blue goalie jersey.

"A colour clash with #Monaco's goalkeeper has prevented #lcfc emerging in the new away kit," the club's official Twitter page wrote. "But Schmeichel likes it so much HE'S wearing it!"

Goals from Layvin Kurzawa and Radamel Falcao gave Monaco a 2-0 half-time advantage. Follow the remainder here.
