Nigel Pearson eyes Fulham upset

Pearson eyes Fulham upset

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has claimed that his side have a good chance of causing an upset against Fulham in the League Cup on Tuesday.

The Championship club welcome their Premier League opponents to the King Power Stadium in the fourth round of the competition.

Pearson believes that his team's strong home form could see them stun the Cottagers and reach round five.

"I think in any cup draw you always hope for a home tie," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"A home tie gives you an advantage and against a Premier League side you might argue that it could level the playing field a little.

"Being strong at home is important to us. I think being strong at home gives you a solid foundation for what you hope to achieve in a season."

Leicester are currently in second place in the Championship table following Saturday's 2-1 win at home to Bournemouth.
