Ross McCormack, James Forrest and Danny Fox withdraw from the Scotland squad for their upcoming World Cup qualification fixtures.

Scotland boss Gordon Strachan has been hit with the news that Ross McCormack, James Forrest and Danny Fox have had to withdraw from their World Cup qualification squad.

Leeds United forward McCormack has been ruled out of the double-header against Wales and Serbia with a head injury.

Celtic winger Forrest has also been forced to withdraw with a back injury, while Norwich City's Fox is understood to be suffering with a muscular complaint.

Scotland, who currently sit bottom of Group A, had just 10 players arrive for training on Monday with the rest of the squad due to arrive tomorrow.
