Leeds 'take Ranger on trial'

Leeds United have reportedly offered troubled footballer Nile Ranger the chance to train with them.

The former Newcastle United man is without a club after leaving Swindon Town earlier this year.

His career has never had a steady period predominantly because of off-field issues that have seen him appear in court several times.

According to Sky Sports News, Leeds are considering the possibility of signing Ranger if he impresses.

Last season for Swindon, the 23-year-old striker scored eight league goals in 23 League One appearances.
