Two late goals from Adam Le Fondre ensure that Reading grab all three points in a scrappy contest at the Madejski Stadium.

Reading have gone top of the Championship table courtesy of 2-0 win over Leeds United.

The first talking point of the game came after 12 minutes, when Zac Thompson was sent off for a late challenge on Jobi McAnuff.

A fairly scrappy first half at the Madejski Stadium ended goalless and the teams went in level at the break.

Despite being down to 10 men, Leeds carved out the best opportunity of the game in the second half.

Ross McCormack powered through the Royals' defence to set up Robert Snodgrass, who shot straight at Adam Federici.

Substitute Adam Le Fondre finally broke the deadlock in the 84th minute after having a goal ruled out just moments earlier.

The striker then made sure of the points just five minutes later with a near-post flick.
