Lucas Biglia expresses joy at linking up with Lazio

Lucas Biglia has thanked Lazio for giving him the "opportunity" to represent the Italian club next season.

The 27-year-old is yet to officially complete his move from Anderlecht, but terms have been agreed between all parties.

That has led to the Argentine meeting up with his new teammates at their training base in Auronzo di Cadore.

"I'm really happy, everything has been defined. Finally I can stay with my new teammates", he told Il Corriere dello Sport.

"I already know [Diego] Novaretti and I'm really happy to meet everyone. I thank Lazio for signing me and taking me to Italy, and to have given me this opportunity."

Biglia has made 10 appearances for his country.
