Preview: Lazio vs. Roma

Lazio and Roma will contest the Rome derby this Sunday, with both teams looking to continue their fine recent league form.

Lazio have impressed since Edoardo Reja took charge as manager at the beginning of January, and their 2-0 win over Chievo last weekend stretched their unbeaten league run to five games.

Antonio Candreva has been one of his side's standout performers, and has scored in each of the Biancocelesti's last three Serie A matches.

Roma were denied the chance to win their fourth successive league match last weekend, as a waterlogged pitch led to the abandonment of their tie with Parma.

They have slipped nine points behind league leaders Juventus, but kept alive their hopes of claiming glory in this season's Coppa Italia, with a 3-2 win over Napoli in the first leg of their semi-final in midweek.

Lazio are boosted by the return of captain Stefano Mauri from a six-month ban for match-fixing, while Roma are still without long-term injury absentees Federico Balzaretti and Dodo.
