Vladimir Petkovic points to "hard work and sacrifice"

Vladimir Petkovic says that his Lazio players must keep their feet on the ground following three wins out of three in Serie A.

Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic has put his team's sparkling early-season form down to "hard work and sacrifice".

Aquile made it three wins out of three in Serie A with a 3-1 win at Chievo this afternoon.

The Bosnian believes that his team were good value for their victory, but warned that they must keep their feet on the ground and concentrate on each game as it comes.

"We have made steps forward," said Petkovic. "We played well against an aggressive opponent in a difficult arena and deserved the win.

"This is a solid squad that can improve a great deal. We must be concentrated game by game.

"It is pleasing to receive positive signals, but we must also keep our feet on the ground. The results are earned with hard work and sacrifice."

Lazio welcome Genoa to the Stadio Olimpico for next Sunday's late kickoff.
