Lazio deny Ravel Morrison AWOL reports

Lazio have denied that Ravel Morrison has gone AWOL in a bid to force a move away from the Italian club.

It is understood that the former Manchester United midfielder is currently in London, and it had been thought that the 23-year-old's absence was a breach of contract.

Lazio, however, have revealed that the former England Under-21 international is currently tending to a 'personal matter' and has indeed been given permission to return to London.

"Lazio announce that contrary to what was reported by the media, Ravel Morrison is in England for personal matters duly authorised by the company," read a statement from Lazio.

Morrison, who was widely regarded as one of the best youngsters in English football during his time at Man United, has not made a single appearance for Lazio this season.
