Monday's Nations League predictions including Croatia vs. France

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Nations League fixtures, including Croatia vs. France.

Latvia vs. Liechtenstein (Monday, 5.00pm)

Latvia will be looking to make it two wins from two at the beginning of their UEFA Nations League campaign in Group D1 when they host Liechtenstein at the Daugava Stadium on Monday evening.

The hosts got off to a perfect start with a win over Andorra on Friday, and they will be expected to follow that up with another when they welcome another inferior outfit on paper in Riga.

We say: Latvia 3-0 Liechtenstein

Latvia will be expected to cruise to back-to-back wins in the Nations League when they take to the field against the minnows of Liechtenstein on Monday.

We are going for a repeat of the 3-0 scoreline achieved against Andorra last time out, although it should be a far more comfortable task this time around.

Austria vs. Denmark (Monday, 7.45pm)

Austria and Denmark will both be aiming to continue their perfect starts in the 2022-23 UEFA Nations League during their contest at the Ernst-Happel-Stadion in Vienna on Monday night.

Ralf Rangnick's men swept aside Croatia 3-0 on the opening matchday in League A Group 1, while the visitors shocked reigning world champions France 2-1.

We say: Austria 1-1 Denmark

Morale could hardly be higher in either camp right now, but the two sets of players will both be battling jellied legs following Friday's exploits, and both Rangnick and Hjulmand will be wary of the fixtures still to come when selecting their XIs.

Denmark may have swept aside Austria during World Cup qualification, but keeping out Das Team's prolific attackers is a tall order, and we can only see the visitors' year-long run without a draw ending as the two sides shake hands on a point apiece.

Croatia vs. France (Monday, 7.45pm)

In a repeat of the 2018 World Cup final, Croatia and France will both be aiming to bounce back from poor starts in League A Group 1 of the UEFA Nations League during Monday's clash at Stadion Poljud.

Zlatko Dalic's side were thumped 3-0 by Austria on Friday night, while the Didier Deschamps-less Bleus were stunned 2-1 by Denmark on their own turf.

We say: Croatia 0-1 France

Despite losing one prolific goalscorer in Mbappe, a side possessing Nkunku and Benzema up front would strike fear into the heart of any defence - let alone one that was carved open at will by Austria.

Expect to see a more resolute defensive showing from the hosts as Dalic ponders some alterations, but France's golden scoring streak does not look like it will end anytime soon, and we expect Les Bleus to bounce back with a narrow triumph.

Iceland vs. Albania (Monday, 7.45pm)

Albania open their UEFA Nations League campaign with a trip to Reykjavik to face Iceland in Group B2 on Monday.

The visitors were not in action due to their scheduled match with Russia not taking place as a result of their opponent's current restrictions, whilst the hosts began their 2022 campaign with a hard-fought draw in Israel on Thursday.

We say: Iceland 1-1 Albania

These two nations look to be very evenly matched heading into this encounter, as it looks to be an intriguing tie, and group as a whole.

Were Albania on home soil, we would perhaps be expecting them to earn all three points, but with Broja and Manaj unavailable to lead the line on the road, we can see them grinding out a hard-fought point to get their Nations League campaign off to a solid start.

Belarus vs. Azerbaijan (Monday, 7.45pm)

Belarus and Azerbaijan square off in Group C3 of the UEFA Nations League on Monday looking to bounce back from defeats earlier this week.

Slovakia and Kazakhstan prevailed against the respective nations, heaping the pressure on the two teams heading into the game which is being played in Novi Sad in Serbia.

We say: Belarus 1-1 Azerbaijan

With Belarus' home advantage being taken away, Azerbaijan will fancy their chances of prevailing on neutral territory. However, goals are likely to be few and far between, leading us to predict a low-scoring draw in Serbia.

Slovakia vs. Kazakhstan (Monday, 7.45pm)

Slovakia play host to Kazakhstan in Group C3 of the UEFA Nations League looking to build on their opening-match victories earlier this week.

Although Slovakia are favourites to earn promotion to Division B, Kazakhstan will seize control if they can prevail in Trnava.

We say: Slovakia 2-1 Kazakhstan

Both teams can claim to be in excellent form heading into this contest, leading us to predict an entertaining clash. However, despite the upward trajectory of the visitors, we cannot ignore Slovakia's home advantage potentially proving decisive in a game where they may have to come from behind.

Andorra vs. Moldova (Monday, 7.45pm)

Andorra coach Koldo Alvarez pictured on March 28, 2021© Reuters

After losing 3-0 to Latvia last time out, Andorra will be pleased to return to home surroundings for a UEFA Nations League contest with Moldova.

While their opponents started the current edition of the Nations League with a heavy defeat, Moldova began the campaign with an away win against Liechtenstein.

We say: Andorra 0-1 Moldova

Although Andorra emerged victorious from the most recent contest between the two sides, Moldova will take encouragement from the fact that they won three consecutive games against the Tricolors prior to Andorra's 1-0 victory in October 2019.

While the hosts struggled in their Nations League opener, Moldova would have been buoyed by their win over Liechtenstein, and we think the visitors will use the confidence gained from that result to claim a narrow victory.
