David Beckham's dream of representing Team GB at this summer's Olympics remains alive as he survives on Stuart Peace's shortlist following the latest round of cuts.

David Beckham's dream of representing Team GB at this summer's Olympics remains alive after the Los Angeles Galaxy star was retained on Stuart Peace's shortlist following the latest round of cuts.

The start of the football tournament is 100 days away and Pearce has chopped his list of names down to 80 players, one of whom is Beckham.

Joe Cole, Nathaniel Clyne, Josh McEachran, Craig Bellamy and Chris Brunt also remain in contention for a place in the final 18-man squad.

The draw for the tournament will take place on April 24.
