Maradona: 'Cavani would improve Juventus'

World Cup winner Diego Maradona has claimed that Juventus would feel the benefit of signing Edinson Cavani.

The Napoli striker is a reported transfer target for a number of European clubs and Maradona believes that the Serie A champions lack a forward of Cavani's quality.

"I cannot imagine what it would be like if Juve had, for example, Cavani as a centre-forward. How many points [would they win]?," the former Argentina manager told Tuttosport.

"The team of [Antonio] Conte reminds me of Michel [Platini], my nemesis. Ultimately this is a very solid and compact team. They create at least five opportunities to score in every game and two, sometimes three, are taken."

Conte's side currently lead Serie A by eight points.
