Juventus, Inter Milan to compete for Vlad Chiriches?

Juventus and Inter Milan are both reportedly interested in signing out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Vlad Chiriches in January.

The 24-year-old moved to White Hart Lane from Steaua Bucuresti for £8.5m last summer, but has struggled with the physicality of the Premier League in his 18 starts.

The Romanian international has found first-team opportunities hard to come by, even in Europe this season, and has only made three appearances for Spurs since Mauricio Pochettino's appointment as manager.

According to reports in Italy, he remains highly thought of among Serie A clubs and a potential loan move appeals to both Juventus and Inter as they look to appease their defensive injury problems.

Younes Kaboul, Jan Vertonghen, Federicio Fazio and Eric Dier are all above Chiriches in Tottenham's defensive pecking order.
