English clubs compete for Juventus striker Carvalho Amauri

Two English clubs are in competition to secure Carvalho Amauri, it has been revealed.

The Juventus striker has attracted attention after a prolific loan spell at Parma, during which he scored seven goals in 11 appearances.

Lazio and Napoli are thought to be interested, while two English clubs - one rumoured to be Tottenham Hotspur - also have their eyes on him.

“I don’t think Amauri will return to Parma,” his agent told Gazzetta dello Sport. “We have offers from two Serie A clubs and from two English clubs. We will calmly make a decision.”

The 31-year-old has one year to run on his current contract.
