Preview: Juventus vs. Genoa

Sports Mole previews the Serie A match between league leaders Juventus and Genoa.

Juventus head into their Serie A fixture with Genoa looking to avenge their only league defeat of the season.

In October, a 94th-minute winner from Luca Antonini proved enough to earn Genoa a famous win at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris, and it remains Juve's only setback of an otherwise dominant league campaign.

Since that loss, the Bianconeri have put together a run of 18 matches without defeat to secure a 14-point advantage at the top of the league standings with 11 games left.

Manager Massimiliano Allegri just needs to ensure that his team gets over the line, but he will be hoping for an improved goal return having seen his side score just seven times in their last five outings.

Allegri will be without midfielder Paul Pogba for around seven weeks after the Frenchman suffered a hamstring injury against Borussia Dortmund in midweek.

Genoa travel to Turin having suffered their first defeat in six games last weekend when losing 2-0 at home to Chievo.

The result was disappointing for Gian Piero Gasperini's squad, but despite an alarming loss of form at the turn of the year, they can still claim a European spot providing that they make use of their game in hand.

Striker Marco Borriello could be in contention to start after featuring as a half-time substitute last weekend.
