Massimiliano Allegri: 'Juventus did not show a soft side against Parma'

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri insists that his side were not "soft" in the 1-0 victory over Parma.

Massimiliano Allegri has dismissed suggestions that Juventus showed that they struggle to handle aggressive sides in the 1-0 win over Parma.

Alvaro Morata came off the bench to rescue Juventus with an 89th-minute winner to send his side into the last four of the Coppa Italia, and Allegri was keen to defend his side's performance.

When asked whether the players had found it difficult to combat Parma's physical approach, the Bianconeri boss told reporters: "We were not soft. It was just that Parma were very aggressive. They gave us a hard time but I thought that the guys played a good game.

"It's never easy to win a game like this but we showed great maturity and Morata exploited one of the few opportunities we had."

Juventus will meet either Roma or Fiorentina in the semi-finals.
