Cesare Prandelli coy on Italy lineup

Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has revealed that he is not sure about his starting lineup against Malta on Tuesday.

The Azzurri will take on their European opponents in a World Cup qualifier at the Ta' Qali National Stadium in Malta. "I won't tell you the side," the Italian told reporters on Monday. "I have a doubt between Emanuele Giaccherini and Alessio Cerci and I won't decide until tomorrow, 30 minutes until kickoff.

"I'm convinced that we are not totally ready to play with three forwards. I want to see and understand how our opponents will line up.

"It's a very delicate game, we have to make sure that we don't offer them space."

Italy will head into the game a point clear of second-placed Bulgaria at the top of Group B.
