Italy's Thiago Motta could be rested against England

Motta a doubt for England clash

Italy midfielder Thiago Motta is a doubt for Sunday's Euro 2012 quarter-final match against England due to a hamstring strain.

The national side's club doctor has claimed that the Azzurri camp will make a late decision on the playmaker's fitness but it is a possibility that the 29-year-old could be rested in preparation for a potential semi-final clash.

Motta has joined defender Giorgio Chiellini on the injury list for the Italian's, with the 27-year-old ruled out of the contest with a thigh injury.

Meanwhile, the Three Lions have a fresh bill of health heading into this weekend's match with all 23 members taking part in training today.
