Chiellini expects to make Euros

Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini has claimed that he should be fit for Euro 2012.

The Juventus centre-back was ruled out of action for three weeks after he injured his thigh on the final day of the Serie A season.

"I think I'll recover for the Euros," he told reporters. "I have already started running again.

"I've been waiting two years for this tournament and I wouldn't miss it for the world. On the day of the injury I was really disappointed, but soon after, I calmed down."

The Azzurri start the tournament against holders Spain on Sunday, June 10.
