Ipswich Town's Mick McCarthy expects Jay Tabb departure

Jay Tabb is likely to leave Ipswich Town when his contract expires at the end of the campaign, according to manager Mick McCarthy.

Mick McCarthy has revealed that Jay Tabb is likely to leave Ipswich Town on a free transfer during the summer.

The midfielder, who is yet to make a league appearance this season, is out of contract at Portman Road in June.

"There is every chance Tabby will move on in the summer but for now he's still one of our players," McCarthy told reporters.

"We'll see, but he'll probably be one that moves on. He's uncomplicated, low maintenance, a terrific guy and a really top, top pro."

Tabb, 31, joined the Tractor Boys from Reading in 2013.
