Ipswich release Kourouma

Ipswich Town have parted company with Cheick Kourouma by mutual consent.

The French midfielder, 20, joined the Tractor Boys on a season-long deal in September following drawn-out negotiations regarding compensation fees to other clubs.

However, he failed to make a single first-team appearance during his time at Portman Road and he will now become a free agent.

Ipswich chief executive Simon Clegg said: "We wish Cheick every success for the future."

After winning three of their last four matches, Ipswich sit 20th in the Championship table.
