Ipswich Town loan Richie Wellens from Leicester City

Leicester City midfielder Richie Wellens has joined Ipswich Town on a one-month loan deal.

Wellens has been loaned out to continue his comeback from the knee injury that he suffered in April and 32-year-old was delighted to have the opportunity to join Ipswich.

Wellens told the club website: "Leicester wanted me to go out on loan and when they showed me the list of clubs that I could go to, Ipswich stood out.

"When the opportunity arose to come to Ipswich, I didn't have to think twice."

Wellens made 46 appearances for Leicester last season.
