Chopra hit with driving ban

Michael Chopra will serve an eight-week driving ban after he was caught speeding on the motorway.

The Ipswich Town striker appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court, Essex to learn his punishment for speeding at 106mph in Colchester on September 13.

The former Sunderland player previously committed a motoring offence in 2009, resulting in a six-month ban. This was followed by three additional speeding incidents.

The 27-year-old revealed last month that he had accumulated up to £2m worth of debt due to a gambling addiction.
