Inter Milan 'open Samir Handanovic contract talks'

Inter 'open Handanovic contract talks'

Inter Milan have reportedly opened negotiations with Samir Handanovic over a new contract to ward off interest from around Europe.

The Slovenian keeper has caught the eye with a string of good performances this season and Tuttosport claims that the Nerazzuri are willing to offer him a two-year extension to keep him at the San Siro.

It is thought that the 30-year-old could earn as much as €3m [£2.39m] per year, if he signs a new deal to stay with the Italian giants until 2018.

However, Handanovic is rumoured to be attracting interest from Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain and could be tempted to leave.

The Slovenian international saved a penalty in Inter's Europa League victory over Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk on Thursday.
