Mateo Kovacic: 'Inter Milan need Nemanja Vidic'

Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic has claimed that the club needed to sign Nemanja Vidic this summer.

The former Manchester United defender agreed a deal with the Serie A side in March before officially joining them at the end of last season.

Kovacic believes that the 32-year-old's wealth of experience will give Inter a boost during the upcoming campaign.

"Vidic is an amazing player with vast experience," he tweeted via Inter's official Twitter account. "Inter really needed someone like him."

Vidic won five Premier League titles, three League Cups and the Champions League during an eight-year spell with Manchester United.
