Inter Miami lineup vs. Los Angeles Galaxy: Predicted XI for MLS clash as Lionel Messi misses out again

Javier Mascherano may choose an unchanged Inter Miami team for their MLS fixture against Inter Miami on Sunday.

Between the sticks, Oscar Ustari is a sure bet to continue in goal on account of several impressive performances across different competitions in 2025, and the lack of a variable competition for the Argentine.

At the back, Maximiliano Falcon anchors the defence excellently, one of the reasons he rarely misses a game when fit. 

He played as a left-back in his side’s last outing due to his versatility, but Mascherano could restore him to his preferred central defensive role to partner the experienced Jordi Alba in the heart of the back line.

That said, Noah Allen could be drafted to play as the left back against the struggling Los Angeles Galaxy this weekend.

Ian Fray came in at right back last weekend, and having put up a decent showing, he could continue in that position on Sunday.

Since his transfer from Atletico Madrid, Argentine midfield Maestro Rodrigo De Paul has partnered with former Spanish international Sergio Busquets in the middle of the park, giving them balance and solidity in midfield.

While the home side will miss the services of the mercurial Lionel Messi, the former Atletico Madrid stalwart is expected to patrol the central area along with another experienced head, Busquets.

Further forward, Luis Suarez is sure to lead the line for the Miami outfit, barring any late injuries or fitness worries.
