Ryan Taylor heading for Hull City?

Former Newcastle United defender Ryan Taylor is reportedly close to joining Hull City.

The 30-year-old is currently a free agent after being released by the Magpies at the end of last season.

Taylor has been training with Hull and could sign a deal in the next 48 hours, according to Sky Sports News.

Nottingham Forest, Bolton Wanderers and Standard Liege are also understood to be interested in his services.

Taylor played for Tranmere Rovers and Wigan Athletic before joining Newcastle in 2009.
