Hull City Shaun Maloney bid rejected

Hull City have had a bid for Shaun Maloney rejected by MLS side Chicago Fire, according to reports from the United States.

The 32-year-old Scotland international moved to the States from Wigan Athletic for £1m in January but has failed to meet expectations so far.

Chicago Daily Herald correspondent Orrin Schwarz tweeted: "Club source confirms #cf97 has rejected Hull City offer for Shaun Maloney. Fire does not want to move him now. #MLS"

Hull, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, are still looking to add to their squad ahead of the new Championship campaign.
