Steve Bruce disappointed by Hull City start

Steve Bruce admits that Hull should have claimed more points from their opening games of the season.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has admitted that his side should have taken more points from their opening six games of the season.

The Tigers are currently in 15th place in the Premier League table with six points from a possible 18.

Despite Hull's modest start to the campaign, Bruce is confident that his team will improve in the coming weeks.

"Six points doesn't really do our start justice," he told the club's official website. "We could have done with another four or five but that's the Premier League.

"I suppose every manager is saying what if we'd done this or that, because it's fine margins. I do feel we are better. The squad is better in depth but we've got a long, long way to go."

Hull are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they welcome Crystal Palace to the KC Stadium.
