Hull City won their first Premier League away match in 27 attempts when they twice came from behind to claim a 3-2 victory over Newcastle United at St James' Park.
Loic Remy had given the Magpies a 10th-minute lead before Robbie Brady equalised with his third of the season, and when the former found the net again, Ahmed Elmohamady headed Hull onto level terms.
Sone Aluko's side-footed volley on 76 minutes ended up separating the sides and earning Hull three points that see them climb into the top half of the Premier League table.

Was the result fair?
Based on the second half, it probably was. They may not have had as much of the ball as Newcastle, but they probably did more with it, particularly after the interval. Hull also showed great character to come from behind on more than one occasion, and considering that they are on a pretty horrible away run in the Premier League, they should be applauded for that.
Newcastle's performance
Newcastle came flying out of the blocks and took a deserved early lead, but the fact that Remy's two goals were their only efforts on target demonstrates that the Magpies struggled to create chances. At times, they were one dimensional going forward and too reliable on the trickery of Hatem Ben Arfa. At the other end, poor positioning from Mathieu Debuchy and sloppy defending in general contributed to two of the goals that they conceded. This will be a setback to Alan Pardew's side, who had been improving in recent weeks.
Hull's performance
The Tigers combined an industrious work ethic all over the park with some smart finishing and performances like this are the sort that they will have to repeat if they are to maintain their top-flight status for next season. Robbie Brady has already shown that he has a trick up his sleeve and an eye for goal, and when he combined with Sone Aluko was when Hull were at their most dangerous. What will please manager Steve Bruce just as much is that the attack-minded pair led the work rate stakes too.
Sports Mole's man of the match
Sone Aluko: The former Rangers forward was a nuisance to the Newcastle defence all afternoon and played a part in all three of Hull's goals. He capped a man-of-the-match performance with a stunning side-footed volley on 76 minutes, which proved to be the winner. A very good all-round display.
Biggest gaffe
In general, Remy had a fine afternoon in front of goal - his second strike was a very accomplished finish - but he missed Newcastle's best chance of an equaliser when he prodded wide from six yards in the 91st minute.
Referee's performance
Martin Atkinson was at the centre of attention at the Stadium of Light last weekend when Sunderland hosted Arsenal, but he had very little to do today and did not need to brandish a yellow card until stoppage time.
What next?
Newcastle: The Magpies are in Capital One Cup action against Leeds United on Wednesday before traveling to Everton on Monday evening.
Hull: Two home games in the space of five days, firstly against Huddersfield Town in the League Cup and then against West Ham United in the Premier League.
