Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner "positive" after Manchester City defeat

Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner says that he was able to take the "positives" from his side's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner has suggested that his side will have to build on their performance against Manchester City to compete with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

On Sunday, Huddersfield led City at half time before succumbing to a Sergio Aguero penalty and a fortuitous Raheem Sterling goal to miss out at the John Smith's Stadium.

However, ahead of attempting to end Arsenal's near eight-month winning streak in North London in the top flight, Wagner is taking the positives from having pushed the unbeaten league leaders.

The 46-year-old told reporters: "We can take a lot of positives out of the Manchester City game into the Arsenal game.

"We will have to take our performance to the next level to have a chance to pick up some points tomorrow. We will make sure we are focused on ourselves, make it as uncomfortable for them as possible and try to play to our best."

Huddersfield currently sit in 11th place in the Premier League table.
