Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner is confident that his team have enough quality to survive in the Premier League this season.

Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner 'really believes' that his team has enough quality to survive in the Premier League this season.

The Terriers lost 3-1 at home to Chelsea on Tuesday night, but an impressive 2017-18 campaign to date has left the club in 12th position in the Premier League table.

Wagner has said that he 'hoped' Huddersfield would be able to survive when the season started, but the German is now confident after seeing his team's progression in the opening months of the campaign.

"At the beginning of the season when I had no experience of the Premier League, I had hope we can survive. After 17 games of the season, now I really believe we can survive," Wagner told reporters.

Huddersfield will look to return to winning ways in the league when they visit Watford on Saturday afternoon.
