A debut goal from Callum Wilson has helped Bournemouth into a 2-0 half-time lead away at Huddersfield Town.
Bournemouth opened the scoring just 26 seconds into their season when Marc Pugh found himself in acres of space in the box, and the winger took a touch out of his feet before finishing calmly.
The goal seemed to give the visitors confidence, and Pugh continued to cause problems while Matt Ritchie twice went close. First, his shot on the turn was well saved by Alex Smithies, then he saw another shot bend just wide of the far post.
Wilson, who threatened in behind the Huddersfield defence for the entirety of the first 45 minutes, then latched on to a through-ball and finished smartly to double Bournemouth's lead.
Oliver Norwood came the closest to reducing the deficit when he rattled the crossbar, but Bournemouth held on to their two-goal lead at the break.
